With Republican tax cuts and regulatory reform, wages are up, the economy is growing, and on May 3, the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced the unemployment rate dropped to 3.6 percent in April, the lowest unemployment rate since December 1969. April also marks the 14th consecutive month of the unemployment rate being at or below 4 percent.<br />&nbsp;<br />Since President Trump was elected, more than 6 million new jobs have been created. Women are benefitting from the Trump economy. The unemployment rate for women fell to 3.4 percent in April, its lowest rate since 1953 (and 3.1 percent for adult women 20+). The unemployment rate for women has been below 4 percent in 12 out of the 13 months since March 2018, when it fell below 4 percent for the first time since the dot com boom in 2000. The Trump campaign raised $1.47 million in donations from women across the country in the first quarter of 2019, according to an analysis by the Center for Responsive Politics.
