Marie was passionate about education, in particular for young women. She was always interested in the current state of public education having rarely missed a local school board meeting. Marie passed away in October of 2007. In her memory, our club has awarded annually a $1,000 scholarship to a college bound, local high school senior girl who demonstrates drive, dedication and passion for excellence and achievement.
